Taco Bell has a promotion where if someone steals a base in the World Series they’ll give away free tacos to everyone. Today is the day to claim your free taco, but you have to go between 2:00-6:00! Here is the official page where they make the offer to everyone. And this is their official press release which I’ll copy below:
Taco Bell® restaurants across the country are preparing for one of the biggest taco giveaways in the company’s history. As the Official Quick Service Restaurant of Major League Baseball®, Taco Bell® will serve up millions of Americans a free Crunchy Seasoned Beef Taco as part of its “Steal A Base, Steal A Taco” World Series promotion.
Baseball and taco fans alike can get their free taco by simply visiting a participating Taco Bell restaurant on Tuesday, October 28 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (local time). No purchase is required; one taco per customer.
Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Jason Bartlett stole free tacos for America from Taco Bell, as he stole second base in the bottom of the 5th inning of Game 1 at the World Series.
“When I was running back out to the field for defense after the fifth inning, I was told that Taco Bell was going to give everyone in America a free taco,” said Bartlett. “The first thing that crossed my mind was all of my buddies back home in California who are probably on their way to Taco Bell that very minute. It’s pretty cool. I’m sure I’m going to get more than a few text messages from my friends thanking me for winning them a taco, I guess.”
Taco Bell has a long history of “Think Outside the Bun®” promotions with Major League Baseball. In addition to last year’s successful “Steal A Base, Steal A Taco” World Series promotion, the company has also placed its famous “Free Taco” target at multiple World Series games. Taco Bell is currently in its fifth year as an Official Sponsor of Major League Baseball.

I updated my older post about watching football for free and I’m writing a new post because I found a new site that provides links to all the games that are streaming live and can be watched on the internet. The site is http://www.howtowatchfootball.com and so far I’ve been very impressed with it. Today as an example there are over 15 college game links on there and if I was going to watch football on the tv I’d only have access to maybe 8 games during the entire day. If you use Ebay and have a Paypal account you could get a great deal right now! You also need a Microsoft Live Cashback account. If you don’t have this simply go to Live.com. Look near the links at the top right of the page and you’ll see one that says “Cashback”. Click on that, create a free account (takes 2 minutes) and you’re ready to roll. I just completed two purchases on Ebay, one for a Staples gift card for $225 which in the end will cost me $150 and another one for a JCPenny gift card for $300 which in the end will cost me $210.
Here is how you can score this deal. Go to Live.com and search for an item (I’ve been using the term ‘cheap wii’). The results will pop up and they’ll look like this:
Ok, so you see where it says “You may get 30% off with Paypal”… click on that Ebay link. You’ll be directed to Ebay. Notice at the top of Ebay now there is a small little banner that mentions the 30% off. Now search for any item you want that is offered with the “Buy It Now” feature. (buying vehicles or real estate does not qualify) So as an example you can search the gift cards. You’ll notice that a lot of clowns are selling a $500 gift card for $550 because if you buy it and get the 30% cashback you’ll get $165 cash back so the $500 gift card will cost you $550-$165 = $385 in the end (I should mention that it takes 60 days for you to get your cash back… but there is no risk because the cash back is given to you by Microsoft so I don’t think they’re going to wrong you). So if you wanted that gift card you have to purchase it via Buy It Now and you have to pay for it via Paypal in order to qualify for the Cash Back.
Once you complete the purchase and pay for it just wait. In under 24 hours you’ll have a message in your Ebay account saying that you’ve qualified for cash back and to click the link. If you were growing up in the 80′s and had cable TV then you probably went to bed a few times scared of a man with a burnt face and claws for fingers… the entire Nightmare on Elm Street boxed DVD set is on sale for $22.99. I haven’t seen any of these since the prior century so I’m curious if these would now be cheesy or if they’d still be good scary flicks… With Halloween coming up it may be something to get to entertain some guests with, lol.
This article came out today saying that Disney will allow anyone and everyone to go to Disney World for free on their birthday next year.
