Shorts for Kids for $1.65!!! Stock Up While You Can!

August 27th, 2008 by admin

The above pictured Flap-Pocket shorts for Juniors is on sale…  for $1.82.  You can also use a 10% off code to make it even cheaper, or if you use your Kohl’s card you can use a 15% off code plus a free shipping code!!!  Find the codes here!  After the 10% discount these bad boys will be around $1.65/pair.  Shorts for under $2 in today’s economy of inflated prices on everything seems pretty good to me.  Will these sell out?  I’d say yes.  So if you want some, get some, but make it quick.

Restaurant.com has a new discount code out, and the 60% off code is LABOR and it’s good until 8/31.  Here’s a little trick in case you ever run across restaurants that you want to buy a certificate to but it says that they are sold out…  The beginning of each month Restaurant.com will “reload” however many certificates the restaurant authorizes them to sell.  But as you noticed, the 60% off expires a day too soon to use it.  So… use the 60% off code and buy Gift Certificates (yes, it is allowed).  Then when the first day of the month comes you use those gift certificates to buy the restaurant certificates.  Presto, you got your 60% off on the places you wanted to go to.  If you have no idea what I’m saying but you are interested leave a comment and I’ll answer whatever part you don’t follow.

Update: I wrote a deal about Crest White Strips (you can read it here) and I said  I’d post a follow up and let you know how they work.  I’ve been using them for about 2 weeks… 5 times per week.  So far so good, I’ve noticed a change in my teeth color though they are not pearly white yet like they show on the box.  Hopefully we’ll get there.  On the box it says 84 strips come in the box, that is a little deceiving.  They give you 42 for your upper teeth and 42 for your lower teeth so really you only get 42 pairs.  In another few weeks I’ll post a final follow up to see the results of the box and if it is worth the money.

Freebie of the Day: Get a free Sundance Organic Tea sample here.  I’ve never had this before so I’ll give it a shot and see what happens.  Thanks to Lilypad for posting this freebie!

Scene It! ESPN Edition DVD Game - $1.99 + Free in-store pickup

August 22nd, 2008 by admin

Scene It! ESPN Edition is on sale for $1.99!  I have the game, I bought it when it was $19.99 last year.  And I’ve written about it when it was on sale for $9.99 and when it was on sale for $4.99.  If you didn’t grab it either time then at $1.99 you can’t go wrong (unless you don’t have a DVD player).  You need a DVD player to play this game, and if you’re a sports fan then you’ll enjoy it.  It also makes a nice gift and no one will know you only spent $2 on it!  You can choose in-store pickup to pick it up for free if you don’t feel like paying for shipping.  I admit, I just placed an order for a few as these will make some nice/affordable Christmas presents.  I predict this will sell out before the day is out so take advantage of it while you can.  Enjoy!!!

Try Amazon.com Prime Free for a Month ~ Save 40% on Groceries Today

August 19th, 2008 by admin

I’m a fan of Amazon.com’s Prime Service.  I signed up for a year and I’ve used it maybe 50 times since I signed up so far so I’ve gotten my money’s worth.  Prime (if you’re not familiar) is Amazon.com’s two day shipping service.  You order something and you’ll have it in 2 days and the 2 day shipping is free (at least during the trial offer).  You can Sign Up Here to test it out for a month on the house.  What is also pretty awesome is that you can have things shipped not only to yourself but to other people with Prime.  I’ve spent $15-$20 dollars before to ship a birthday gift to a relative, but if you can find that gift on Amazon you can have them ship it for free using this trial.  Avoiding the post office definitely makes the top ten list of why I think Prime rocks.

If the grocery stores are giving you the blues with their raised prices and/or smaller packaging here’s something to cheer you up, you can choose from over 4,000 items at Amazon’s Grocery store (see the list of items here) and you can use code: AUGMKDWN  when you checkout to take 40% off your order!  I haven’t gone through the list of items yet but I’m sure there will be some things I can stock up on at a reduced rate.  If you’re feeling really wild, you could sign up for the free Prime trial, then order groceries, use the code to get 40% off and have Prime ship it to you for free and they’ll be at your front door in 2 days.  Save money on groceries, save money on gas by not having to drive to the supermarket, save yourself some time by ordering online… it’s a win/win/win situation.

Just an FYI ~ My local Olive Garden has the “All you Can Eat Pasta” for $8.95.  I asked them if this was nationwide and they said that only certain stores are participating so make sure you can ahead to check before you drive there and curse me if you can’t get your fill of pasta for $9.

Freebie of the Day: Today’s freebie of the day is a free sample of H2 Concentrated Cleaning Solution, thanks to Mikimadness for posting this freebie!  Go here and enter code: BH208

Get a Laptop Cooler for Free (actually you’ll turn a profit) & Watch some Aliens for a Discount

August 15th, 2008 by admin

We all like getting things for free so if you have a laptop but didn’t want to spend the money on a laptop cooler (which I recommend, I have one myself and it saves my lap from the heat) then you can get this one for F-R-E-E after rebate (actually you’ll make a profit).  This deal is only good until 8/19.  Shipping is free.  So here’s the quick math… The price is $9.99, so you pay $9.99.  Shipping is free so.. And the rebate is $12.  In the end your lap will thank you and you’ll have free cash to buy 2 things on the Mickey D’s dollar menu (which for health reasons I would not recommend, but your taste buds will beg you to do it).

Grab Roswell Seasons 1-3 for $41.99 shipped (for all three seasons).  This is the complete series.  I watched this entire seasons a few years ago and I admit that I liked it.  This may be a one day offer.  About this series, nothing too intellectual about it, what you’ll see is what you’ll get.  Nothing as intricate as Prison Break or as action packed as 24 or as mysterious as Lost.  But if you want a simple series, that is fun, and easy on the mind then this is for you (it received 4.5 out of 5 stars on the user reviews).  Here’s the description:

Opening with a Dido theme song and featuring character-driven, sweet-natured melodrama, Roswell was a show with a surprisingly dedicated fandom, who twice won it reprieve from cancellation. One of its main strengths was, of course, the extent to which its premise–alien teenagers trying to sort out their identities while emotionally involved with their human contemporaries–was a free-floating metaphor for race and sexuality issues. Another was the strong ensemble that its cast developed: you believed in the strangeness of the alien trio and the well-intentioned normality of their three human friends. Jason Behr gave the alien Max a quiet authority and Majendra Delfino took the sidekick role of Maria and gave it both intensity and fine comic timing. It was also a show in which you were never sure which adults you could trust–William Sadleir trod a fine line of ambiguity as the local sheriff and Julie Benz was silkily sinister as an FBI agent. Anyone who ever loved this show will want these DVDs–and many others may want to find out what the fuss was about.

Freebie of the Day: This isn’t a freebie that everyone can get, but I find it interesting enough to put it here.  When Chic-Fil-A opens a new store they will give 100 people a card that lets you eat there for a year… FOR FREE!  Got your attention?  If you want to read the details go here.  Thanks to SCC76 for posting this freebie!

Release Your Inner Spy ~ James Bond Complete Set on Sale

August 14th, 2008 by admin

I wasn’t going to come on the computer at all today until my friend told me on the phone about this deal and I thought it was good enough to flip the computer on switch, wait for that never ending Windows screen load to occur, and get on the ‘net and share it with you.  Huge James Bond here, I already have the box set and I love it.  If you don’t have the set but you are a 007 fan you can grab it (today only) for the price of $95.99 here.  There are all 21 movies included along with another 21 discs of bonus features.  I watched all the movies but I haven’t watched the special features discs yet so I have no clue what is on them… (instead I watched my favorite movies multiple times, lol).  This box set sells for $188 on DeepDiscountDVD, $188 on Buy.com, and $200+ on a lot of smaller sites so if you want to grab it then today is the day to get it under $100 or forever hold your peace.  Dum da da da dummm dum dum, dum da da da dummmm dum dum…

Freebie of the Day: Grab a free subscription to Family Fun Magazine here.  I have no idea how fun this magazine is for the family, but it is free, and it can’t hurt to have some extra reading material around the house.  And if the magazine is good then it’s a double bonus.

Prison Break 3 Gets Released Today ~ and On Sale Already!

August 12th, 2008 by admin

Prison Break season 3 got released today.  I am a big fan, I just finished watching season 2 and I can’t wait to watch season 3.  I checked out Ebay and it is selling for $35+.  Some retailers have it for $40+.  But I found it for $26.99 with free shipping!  I can imagine quite a few Ebay sellers have purchased it here and are selling it on Ebay.  Not very often does something sell cheaper brand new from a retailer then it does on Ebay, but in this instance Season 3 is cheaper.  If you’re not familiar with the show I’d say it is a mix between Lost and 24 (two of my favs).  Make sure you start with season 1 though or you’ll be lost (no pun intended).

A 100 pack of Kodak 4×6 printer paper goes for $26 and change, but after a rebate you can get it for F-R-E-E.  Here is the deal.  This offer ends in 4 days on the 16th, so if you like printing out your digital pictures at home then here’s your chance to lower that cost.

Freebie of the Day: Thanks to Mikimadness for posting this freebie, it is a K12 DVD Learning Without Limits.  You can grab it here.  Or see the details here.

DVD Blowout Sale: 3 DVDs for $10 Going on Now ~ Over 100 Titles to Choose From

August 6th, 2008 by admin

Normally when there is a sale like this the titles are filled with low budget films that no one except the person who made the movie heard of, but this sale is actually good.  There are some very decent movies in there and with over 100 to choose from most people should be able to find a few that they like.  You can view the sale HERE.  And here’s a few of the movies that are available… enjoy the sale!

Get a movie on DVD PLUS a Movie Ticket for the Theater for $3.99!!!

August 3rd, 2008 by admin

This is a great deal, I myself just did it four times!  First you go HERE.  Go to the DVD Section and sort the DVDs by Price.  Add a DVD to your cart.  Then you need to go HERE and add the free movie pass to your cart.  Not all the $3.99 dvds are free shipping, so after you add it to your cart make sure that you are not being charged shipping.  If you do this correctly you’ll get your $3.99 dvd AND the movie pass for $3.99 shipped.  You can only do this once per order according to the rules, but you can place multiple orders.  The DVDs I ordered were Unleashed, X-Men 2, Along Came Polly, and Inside Man (in case you were curious).  The Free movie ticket is good for either Righteous Kill (has De Niro and Pacino in it) or Traitor (Don Cheadle).  If you wanted to watch the trailers for these movies you can do so here: Righteous Kill / Traitor. (there’s a link on the page that says “watch trailer”).  So for $16 I got 4 good DVDs and 4 movie passes.  Great Deal!

You can grab the Mizerak 7 foot pool table for $199.99 on sale.  This is a good ‘family table’ or beginners table, definitely not for the pro, but definitely worth the money if you like going out to play pool (instead of paying $10 every time to play you can grab this and after 20 uses it pays itself off).  Here’s the specs:

-Includes billiard accessory kit
-5 in. Top rails
-Full profile rubber cushions for accurate play
-Medium oak finish with external drop pockets
-Durable green tadlon cloth
-Ram’s horn design legs

Freebie of the Day: Get a free T-Shirt and Cap here, thanks to SCC76 for posting this freebie!

Hannah Montana Game for Free

July 31st, 2008 by admin

I love free, you love free, everyone loves free.  You can pick up this Hannah Montana DVD game for the reduced price of $15 (reg price is $31.99).  Not low enough?  There is a $15 rebate on it which makes your price F-R-E-E in the end.  Normally these free after rebate items fly off the shelves so grab it before it’s gone.

If you are a fan of Office Space then you may enjoy Idiocracy (they were both made by Mike Judge), and if you wanted to take a shot on it you can do so at a sale price of $4.99.  The movie has Luke Wilson in it (who in my opinion is a hit or miss performance, but he’s usually pretty good).

Here’s a deal at Walgreens store, if you buy 4 Axe products you will get two movie tickets for free, here’s the rules:

All items must be purchased in one shopping order. Limited to product in stock. No cash back. Offer valid between 7/25-8/30/2008. Codes can be entered through 9/15/08. Downloaded e-movie cash certificates must be redeemed by 11/30/08. Please refer to 8/10 circular for participating product details.

To make this offer even better, there is a $5 off $20 coupon for Walgreens but it’s only valid Today!  Before you grab 4 Axe products and pay for them I would suggest you verify with the cashier that your local Walgreens is participating in this promotion.  Better safe then sorry.

If you need to book a hotel and you’ll be staying for 4 or more nights there is a promotion from Orbitz which will give you $75 off your hotel stay.  Here’s the info:

Acer Laptop for $399.99 / Kodak Easyshare Digital Camera for Under $50

July 27th, 2008 by admin

This is a limited time offer, if you’re in the market for a laptop the Acer 15.4″ Widescreen Laptop is on sale for $399.99 here.  This comes preloaded with Windows Vista and Dual Core 64 bit processing.  This is a pretty snazzy laptop for the price (regular price is $580).  If you want to read the product specs or comment on this deal you could do so in the forums on this page.

The Kodak Easyshare 6.1MP digital camera is on sale for $79.99, but with a few seconds of work you can take $30 off easily.  You’ll have to search for: Kodak - EasyShare 6.16MP Digital Camera    to find the item.  And the offer for $30 off is on this page.  I am a fan of Kodak’s digital cameras (my first digital camera was a Kodak easyshare 3.0MP model) and it worked well for me for 3+ years (I actually still have it and it still works great, I use it as my ‘beat up’ camera now).

If you wear Acuvue contact lenses and you didn’t steal them (i.e. you bought them) you may be able to get a rebate from Acuvue.  You can check out their rebate offers here to see if your purchase qualifies.  It may be some free cash for you!!!

Freebie of the Day: Get a free travel bag from Trip Advisor here.  Thanks to Mikimadness for posting this freebie!

PS: There is a DVD sale with over 30 movies for $3.99 each.  Normally these sales suck (to be blunt) but in going through the titles there are some pretty good ones on the list!  If you want to see the complete list of DVDs then keep on reading… Read the rest of this entry »

Guitar Hero III is on sale for $54.99 for the Wii here.  This is after an instant discount plus a 10% off coupon (code is: 8MAJTZLA9L).  If you don’t have Wii, the PS2 version is also the same price, and the PS3 and XBOX 360 versions are $63.

Get $10 concert tickets to concerts at the Nikon at Jones Beach.  This sale starts Tuesday July 29th at 9:00 a.m. and ends Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.  There are some pretty good shows, including an 80’s Festival which I may try to get tix to!  Now if I can only remember to do this Tuesday morning!!!  Same offer is valid at the Nassau Coliseum on the same day at the same timeAnd the PNC Bank Arts Center too.  My advice is to scout ahead and see which concert(s) you’d want to go to and jump on this right at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Freebie of the Day: September 27th is Free Museum Day at participating museums, it’s a good time to maybe learn a thing or two and see some history… for free.  Go here to view which venues are participating and to get your free admission card.

Get Amazon.com Prime FREE for a Month PLUS Get $10 Off Your Next Order!!!

July 23rd, 2008 by admin

This is a very sweet promotion going on for the week…  Try Amazon.com Prime free for a month and get $10 off your next Amazon.com order.  Let me break it down: If you are unfamiliar with Amazon Prime it is Amazon.com’s shipping service.  You get all your Amazon orders shipped for free with 2 day shipping (i.e. order Monday morning and have it on your doorstep on Wednesday).  They normally charge a flat rate of around $79/year, but you can get this for a month for free.  By participating in this promotion Amazon.com will give you $10 off your next order… so if you find a $10 CD, or video game, or DVD that you like you could get it delivered to you in two days for free all around!  I’d guess this would take you all of 2 minutes to sign up for, and 2 minutes to find a $10 item you want, so why not get a free DVD with 4 minutes of your time?

Food, Storage, and Gas (Masks that is)…

July 22nd, 2008 by admin

There is a new Restaurant.com code out there good for 70% off and valid until 7/31.  The code is: CRAVE.  If you haven’t used Restaurant.com before you can buy a $25 gift certificates to restaurants for $10.  If you throw in the 70% off code that $25 gift certificate will now cost you $3.  If you like dining out but hate paying the price of dining out this is a great way to help you lower the bill.  Recently I’ve noticed an uptick in the stipulations of the restaurants (i.e.  some restaurants may say you need to spend $50 to use the certificate, or only valid with parties of 4 or more) so make sure you read the stipulations before you buy anything.  If you’re able to find restaurants with no stipulations at all then you can’t beat the deal!

Here is a 4GB Flash thumb drive for $9.99 with free shipping.  If these prices drop any lower they are going to be giving them away.  There is a huge oversupply of these in the market, I think one quick look at the Sandisk stock chart over the past year will clearly show this (Sandisk is probably the largest maker of flash drives)…

And for those people who like to prepare for anything and everything (and for the conspiracy theory people) you may want to check out this deal…  a family pack of gas masks for $19.99.  I hope we would never need these (unless you have some stinky inlaws over) but at the least they can double as a Halloween costume!

Freebie of the Day: If you like Obama then here’s a free button for you.  Thanks to SCC76 for posting this freebie!
