I know, I know, this is very very early to be talking about Black Friday but I figured I’d throw it out there now…  I was reading an article about how websites post the Black Friday flyers before the retailers officially release them.  In this article, it mentioned how one site “rewarded” the people who submitted these flyers to the site with a “prize” such as a t-shirt.  WOW.  Talk about being cheap.   I couldn’t stop laughing when I read the article because of the sillyness of it.  Is this their inner monologue?

“Gee thanks for submitting this awesome Black Friday flyer so I can be the first site to publish it online, let me go all out and give you this great t-shirt which has my website’s logo on it because I know you’re dying for one”. 

 After reading the article I decided to create the “Wii for Me” giveaway.  I think that in 2008 Black Friday is going to be awesome.  I say this because I see articles everyday about how the economy is struggling.  I see articles about how the major retailers are struggling.  I think that on this Black Friday the sales will be insane because the retailers will be fighting for the consumers to come to their stores.  And I’d like to take part in the insanity of this Black Friday and publish 1 or 2 or 3 or more of the Black Friday flyers.  I’m willing to give away a Wii, a Wii Fit, and 25 Wii games to anyone who submits to UsedShoe.com a Black Friday flyer for a major retailer before any other website publishes that flyer.   So for the people who are able to get their hands on the flyers, instead of getting a free t-shirt maybe you’d be interested in receiving something a little bit more substantial.  If anyone is interested in contacting me about this offer you can do so here.  I’ll bring this up again as we get closer to Black Friday.

Superbowl kicks off in a little bit so why not have some fun with it, if anyone predicts the final score correctly you’ll get Lemony Snickets the movie DVD. Since I’m late posting this I’ll even allow you up to halftime to predict the score (meaning you can predict the score at the half if you so choose) but the first person to predict a score has dibs on that score (there won’t be two winners). Just post a comment and made sure you identify the score for each team. Good luck!

I’m running a little contest to test my deal hunting skills out against YOU, and YOU, and YOU, and yes, even YOU! Check out this message thread in the Forums.
