Crocs Mambaz on Sale for $9.95 (possible free shipping): Both Men’s and Women’s

crocs2.gifcrocs.gif

This is a deal that is making its way around the internet today and it is pretty hot, but there are also questions about this so I figured I’d tell you about the deal (in case you’re not in the know) and I’d give the relevant information to answer any questions/myths that are popping up.  At the DSW online store you can pick up the Crocs Mambaz (men’s or women’s) for $9.95/pair (go to DSW.com and in the search bar enter: Crocs Mambaz   The men’s and the women’s pairs will come up.  I cannot offer a direct link because it is a Flash based site and the direct link does not work).  Shipping is free on orders of $50 or more with code SHIP3 or if you are a DSW member and log into your account you can get free shipping with no minimum purchased required with code MEMSHIP.  As most are aware, $9.95 for a pair of Crocs is unheard of (unless you are talking about a knock-off), and many people are speculating that these are not real Crocs because they do not have the Crocs name on them.  Here’s the scoop:  Crocs Mambaz are in fact made by Crocs.  They are not marketed nor sold by Crocs on their site, they are made specially for certain retailers (such as JCPenny) to sell at a reduced price (compared to the regular Crocs Caymans or other Crocs models).  From a business perspective, Crocs is trying to sell more clogs while still maintaining the price on their regularly priced clogs.  So you will not see the Mambaz on the Crocs website because then no one would buy the other models that are priced anywhere from $25-$45 on average when they could buy a $10 model.  I would assume that the Mambaz uses the Croslite material (which is the famous material that Crocs invented and makes their clogs out of) though I do not have confirmation of this.  For $10/pair and possible free shipping you cannot go wrong, though be forewarned, if you want to buy these as a gift for someone and they are not familiar with the Mambaz model name, they may give you a funny look at they’ll assume these are a knock-off attempt at Crocs… Enjoy the cheap Crocs clogs!

Nautica Polo Shirts for $4.99 and a Samsung Bluetooth Headset for $4.99

Yesterday there were men’s nice long sleeve dress shirts for $10, today there are Nautica Polo shirts for $8.99 and Nautica sweaters for $24.99.  There are multiple sizes and colors available, and if you order $25 or more shipping is free.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen Nautica Polo shirts before for $8.99 (usually I see them at a place like Macy’s and I choke when there is a $40 price tag on them) so I’d recommend picking up a few before they sell out if you’re interested.

And if you’re in the market for a Bluetooth headset for your cell phone, here’s the chance for you to pick up the Samsun WEP410 bluetooth headset for $4.99 (after rebate).  The cost is $34.99 (with free shipping) and there is a $30 MIR.  You need to buy it before 6/30 (or while supplies last) for the rebate to be valid.  Here’s a link to the rebate form.

In case you need to send flowers in the next 24 hours there is a $10 off coupon code for 1800Flowers that is valid until tomorrow (no minimum purchase necessary).  The coupon code is: SML6

Freebie of the Day: Today’s freebie is a free subscription to Dog’s Life Magazine.  So if you have a pup make sure you sign on up (or pass this freebie on to someone who does have a dog if you don’t).  Enjoy the magazine!

Men’s Dress Shirts on the Cheap

If you are a man, or if you know a man, or if you one day may know a man you may like this deal.  Arrow’s Sateen dress shirts are $9.99 (with free shipping on orders of $25 or more).  I personally don’t own any (yet) but the user reviews give the shirt 4.5 out of 5 stars which is very good in my book.  Not every shirt is $9.99, you need to select your size and the color you want to see the price, but I played around with this and found MANY of them selling for $9.99.  I believe these sell in Kohl’s and maybe Sears for $20-$30 per shirt.  FYI: These are long sleeve (in case you can’t tell by the picture)

The XBOX 360 Play and Charge Kit is on sale for $44.99.  Out of 21 user reviews, 14 users gave it 5 out of 5 stars and 5 users gave it 4 out of 5 stars so the user satisfaction is high.  I don’t have an XBOX 360 so I’ve never personally used this product, but if you own this system you may want to give it a quick look.

If you’re a fan of the Cheesecake Factory’s Cheesecakes (and who isn’t, they are scrumdiddleumptious) here is a coupon for 50% off one.  Now, the coupon is for Barnes and Noble, not the Cheesecake Factory Restaurant, so don’t get confused (like I did at first).  I would call ahead to make sure your local B&N sells these before going there and trying to use the coupon.

Today only you can use code: 29100   at Staples.com (or over the phone) to take $25 off an order of $75 or more.  You can use the coupon multiple times (on different orders) so if you wanted to get two things that were $75 each… Place Two Seperate Orders!!!

There has once again been a price drop on the Blade Runner Blu Ray DVD Collectors Edition 5 Disc set.  When I first wrote about this it was $25.  It eventually dropped to $20 and today it has dropped to $15.  If you weren’t able to pull the trigger on it because of the price before, now is your chance.  I don’t see this going lower then $15 (especially since you are getting 5 Blu Ray DVDs).

Freebie of the Day: You can grab a free subscription to Blender magazine here.  I already get this magazine and if you’re not familiar with it, it is about music, musicians, and similar type topics.  Not bad, especially when F-R-E-E.

Do You Want the Eye of the Tiger?

This week only you can grab the Rocky Saga boxed DVD Set (with all 6 movies) for $19.99 at Target in-store.  That works out to $3.33 per movie (though I’m not sure if we should count Rocky V as that movie was absolutely horrible IMO).  This is a great gift for any Rocky fan.  I bought the 5 DVD Boxed Set a few years ago and have watched Rocky IV about 20 times so I’ve gotten my monies worth from it.  If you want to make sure that this weekly deal is good in your local area check out the weekly ads for Target.  If you don’t take advantage of the Weekly Ads section of the site you may want to check it out.  It provides links to many retailers’ weekly flyers which are online so you can easily check out what the weekly deals are without having to look for the Sunday newspaper inserts (I used to dig through the recycling bin quite a bit in the good old days looking for those flyers).

The personal music pillow has been marked down to $1.49 each (from a regular price of $14.99).  Shipping is around $6 so you may want to check out the in-store pickup options, or if you are buying multiple pillows then that may help defray the shipping expense (on a per pillow basis).  There are multiple shapes and colors available.

The new Restaurant.com code is out, the code is “FUN” and is good for 50% off.  The code expires 6/15.

Freebie of the Day: You can get a  “Mother’s kit” for free from Johnson & Johnson.  Call 1-866-565-2229 and select option 1 to request your free kit.  The kit contains quite a few things such as a lotion bottle, kool aid punch packet, clothes, and pads to name a few things.

Purchase Dockers and Get Free Gas

There is a promotion running where if you purchase $100 worth of Dockers you will receive a free $75 Shell Gas Gift Card.  You can find more information within the Forums section here.  So in reality you are paying $25 for $100 worth of Dockers clothes (since the gas you would have had to buy anyways…).  If you are able to get some good deals on the Dockers to maximize this offer it’ll be even that much more better.  Here’s the rebate form so you can read the fine print.

Speaking of free gift cards, if you test drive a Saleen in the month of June you can get a free $25 AMEX gift card.  This is a double winner because you’re getting the free gift card, and you’re getting to take a sweet ride around the block for a spin.

You can get 50% off one item at Michaels (coupon valid until 6/14).  Here’s where you can print out the coupon

Congrats go to Lilypad who won this past week’s free giveaway!  The giveaway for this week is up, just tell us what your favorite picnic food is to be entered!!!

Freebie of the Day: Thanks to SCC76 who posted this freebie for a free subscription to Working Mother Magazine.   I’m sure a lot of working mothers would enjoy this magazine (especially since it is F-R-E-E!!!).

Off for the Weekend

I’m going on a little weekend trip so sadly I won’t be able to write any posts for the next 2 days.  I will though share my pictures from the trip for anyone who is interested.  Have a good weekend all!

Take Pictures in the Ocean, Some Coupons, & a Free Watch

Taking pictures underwater doesn’t have to be an expensive thing, you can pick up the Vivitar Vivicam for $59.84.  In the search bar type in “Vivitar Vivicam” and you’ll find this camera with the underwater case which allows for underwater picture taking.  Shipping is a reasonable $0.97 cents so for a little more then $60 you’ll be on your way to snapping pictures of fish, coral, and everything else in the water (stay away from the sharks though as they love the taste of the Vivicam and probably your arms too).

Here’s a 25% off coupon for Einstein Brothers which is valid until the end of June.  I personally think their sandwiches are very good, though a little pricey so this coupon will help deflate the price to a more reasonable level.

You can get two $5 off coupons for Kmart by signing up for their email updates here.  I just signed up myself so I have not received the coupons so I can’t tell you if there are any stipulations on them, but it can’t hurt to try… right?

Freebie of the Day: Grab a free Carabineer watch here.  The code is PENN.  Enter in your name/address and you’ll get your watch in 2 weeks!  Thanks to Pattikay for finding this freebie!!!

HD DVDs for Under $10 (Big Selection)… as low as $6.50

If you still have your HD DVD player and want to pick up some new movies to feed it, there is an awesome sale going on right now.  There is a large list of movies to choose from (over 150 under $10) with prices starting at $7.99.  There is a VERY large selection of movies at $11.98 and there is also a 20% discount code which will bring those $7.99 movies down to $6.50 and those $11.98 movies down to $9.60.  Shipping is free (even if you only order one dvd).  I picked up Pulse, The Lady in the Water, Wolf Creek, and Smokin Aces for $32 shipped (or $8 per movie).  The code also works on Blu Ray DVDs, regular DVDs, CDs, etc… so you can pick up more then just HD DVDs on the cheap.

You can grab a 1gb usb memory card for $10 here, and if you use Google Checkout it will take $10 off the price so you get it for F-R-E-E.  This deal pops up once in a while and usually sells out quickly so jump on it soon!

If you have not entered this week’s Weekly Giveaway you should do so ASAP.  Only 13 people have entered so far so the odds of winning are at 1 in 13 right now (compared to the Powerball’s 1 in 200 Million).

Freebie of the Day: You can download AVG Antivirus 8.0 for your computer for free here.  If you don’t have some sort of protection for your computer (you don’t want it getting pregnant or catching a disease, do you?) then at the least you should install this freebie.  Better safe then sorry!

Select 2 Blu Ray DVDs for $30 (30 movie selection)

Best Buy is offering a promotion on Blu Ray DVDs where you can select two of them (from a list of 30) and get them for $30 total (prices are around $19.99 each so you’re saving a ten spot).  You can see the list here.  I’m contemplating picking up Blade Runner and Hellboy myself but it’s early in the day so I may swap out Hellboy for a different one… we’ll see.

You can pick up the Nextar 3.5″ GPS unit for $75 after rebate and coupon.  This is a pretty hot price for a cost conscious shopper.  Here is a link to the info and the coupon

There’s a limited number (at least that’s what it says on the page) of the Creative XDock Wireless music system for the iPod here.  Retail price is $149.99 and this is marked down to $49.99 so I’m sure these will be snapped up fast.  Here’s the product info:

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune for PS3 $39.99 ($59.99 EVERYWHERE else)

If you’re looking for a great video game look no further then here, here is “Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune” for Playstation 3.  The game is on sale today only for $39.99 (price everywhere else is $59.99) and the game looks amazing.  You can view two different videos of the game on the product page.  User reviews give it 4.5 out of 5 stars, and it received 9.1 out of 10 from IGN.  I don’t have a PS3 though I’m tempted to pick up this game and play it at my friend’s house after reading the reviews.  People who purchased it at $59.99 said it was well worth the price so at $39.99 it should be a no brainer.  The only games I’ve played that I’ve been amazed with recently was God of War and God of War II so I hope (and I’m confident) that this game will live up to its billing.   And since we’re talking about video games the Sega Collection for Playstation 2 has been marked down to $9.99 (look on the right hand side of the page for the $9.99 price).  This is worth it alone for Sonic the Hedgehog.

You can pick up the Nokia 2610 Prepaid cell for for F-R-E-E (after rebate).  I have no experience with prepaid cell phones so I can’t give any words of wisdom here, but I can say that the price is right.

If you have a Krispy Kreme near you here is a coupon for a free donut (valid until 7/8).  My diet is over but I’m going to abstain from the donuts.  My 7 day total weight loss was 12 pounds so the GM Diet held true (it said you would lose between 10-17 pounds and I was the guinea pig).  I’ll post the recap of the diet tomorrow.

Freebie of the Day: Sign up here for a free subscription to Lucky Mag, thanks goes out to SCC76 who posted this deal!

Weezer and Willis (Bruce)

Weezer fans can download the album Pinkerton for $1.99 here.  There are 10 tracks on the album, and each track costs $0.89 so buying them individually would cost you $8.90 so you’re saving 77%.  I’m a Weezer fan and I already have the album but if you don’t then I’d recommend checking them out (you can preview songs before buying anything).

You can grab the entire Die Hard DVD collection on Blu Ray for $56.99 shipped.  This is all 4 movies so breaking that down would be about $14.25 per movie.  This is a pretty decent price as other places I’ve checked out are selling this for $70+.

Here’s a coupon for Firestone which will get you an oil change for $18.99 along with your tires rotated for free (coupon is on the right hand side of the page).  I think $18.99 for an oil change is a good price first off, but throwing in the tire rotation is a nice added bonus (tire rotation can cost $25-$50 depending on your local mechanic).  If I get my tires rotated I always put a little mark on two of the tires to make sure that when I get the car back those tires with the marks are in different places (sadly some places will tell you they rotated it when they didn’t) so that’s a little trick you may want to keep in mind.

Freebie of the Day: Today’s freebie is a free sample of ChocoMaca which you can request here.  Thanks goes out to SCC76 who posted this freebie in the Freebies Forum.  GM Diet - today is the last day of the diet for me.  My daily weigh in this morning showed another 2 lb loss which brings the 6 day total up to 11 lbs lost.  My goal over the 7 days was to lose 8 to 10 pounds to I’m already there.
