Firefly the Series for $16.99 : An Awesome Deal on 24 if you Can Find It!

June 30th, 2008 by admin

Grab Firefly the complete series for $16.99 here.  Out of over 2,500 user ratings this series received a 5 out of 5 stars!  I have never seen it before, but I would guess it is unlikely that that many people are wrong and for $30 off retail price I’m sure this sale won’t last long.  I’m a Jason Bateman fan (because I’m an Arrested Development fan) so I’m hoping he is just as good here.  I’ll give my review of the show after I watch a few episodes.

You can possibly grab all 6 seasons of the tv series 24 for $28.  Sounds too good to be true, well read this!  This would be a SMOKING HOT deal if you can get it.  I’ve watched all 6 seasons of 24 and I highly recommend the show (though I felt Season 6 was lacking and could have been much better).

If anyone took advantage of the GM 0% Financing for 6 years deal this weekend congrats on the new car.  I myself took advantage of it and bought a 2008 Chevy HHR LT (black on black).  It will be delivered in 2 weeks and I’ll post pictures of it.  The best part is I only had to put $500 down and I get the 0% for 6 years so it is really a steal!  If you want to see what the HHR looks like see the blog post below this one and you’ll see a red HHR.

Freebie of the Day: You can get a free magnetic shopping pad here, thanks to Pattikay for posting this freebie!

If you haven’t heard on the news, General Motors is offering a 0% interest rate for 72 month (i.e. 6 years) on select models for qualified buyers.  This could save you anywhere from $4,000-$8,000 (on average, it depends on what interest rate you would get normally).  And with as little as $500 down you could pick up a brand new car for relatively low monthly payments (compared to almost every other offer out there).  As an example, a $15,000 brand new car (with a $500 down payment) would cost you around $200/month for the 72 months.  That isn’t bad at all for a brand spanking new car.  You can go here to see all the vehicles that are eligible for this promotion.  My car is 12 years old so even I’m thinking about an upgrade (before my current car dies on me, which with my luck I’d be 200 miles away from home when it happens).

Remember that freeze dried Astronaut ice cream.  It is pretty expensive at $4.99 but you can grab it for $0.99 right now (I guarantee this will sell out by the end of the day).  Use code: 10618000004   for $1 shipping and off you go to outerspace (not really)!

Freebie of the Day: Despite the fact that I gave you the info to grab some freebies at Buy.com I’ll still give you a freebie of the day…  You can grab either FreeSkier or Snowboard Magazine here.  Thanks to SCC76 for finding this deal!

Harry Potter Book 7 for $13, Madden 2008 for $10, and it’s Friday!!!

June 27th, 2008 by admin

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) is on sale again for those who missed it last time, this time for $13.  This is the hardcover edition with a MSRP of $65 (though most places sell it for $25-30).  I’m a fan of the movies though I admit I haven’t had the time to read the books yet though it is on my list of books to read (along with Lord of the Rings).  I’m going to go out on a limb and say that this is the cheapest price you can get this book for brand new (hardcover edition) on the net.  If anyone can find this book cheaper from a reputable seller I’ll ship a free DVD your way.  Simply post a link in the comment section after this article to the lower priced book.

For the Madden fans out there (John Madden football video game series, not Steve Madden shoes)… you can grab Madden 2008 for ANY SYSTEM for $9.99.  This is the same game that was selling for $50+ when it came out not even a year ago.  On Amazon this game sells for $29.99 so I’m not sure if this $9.99 is a price mistake or just a pretty nifty sale.

And for those of you who are in the market for a new (pet) bed, here is a list of some that are up to 70% off.  I just purchased one for my ferret so hopefully he’ll appreciate it!

Today only Walgreens has a $5 off $20 coupon available found here.  I know in the Forums section of the site we have some Walgreens pros who will put this coupon to good use!

Freebie of the Day: Thanks to Pattikay (who posted this freebie) you can get a free pair of boxer shorts.  This is great for the guy (or gal) who only has 1 or 2 pairs of underwear as you can increase how many underwears you have by 50% or 100% for free.  If you have many pairs of underwear already then this makes a great dish rag or something to wipe your car with after you wash it.  And for those who want to be creative I’m sure you can make a birdhouse out of this (though I personally don’t know how).  Enjoy the undies!

If You Don’t Have a Gaming System How About a XBox 360 for $199.99

June 26th, 2008 by admin

You can grab the XBOX 360 video game system for $199.99 + free shipping here.  This item is recertified.  Personally I have never had an issue with refurbed/recertified items I have purchased and since this is selling for about 40% off the regular price (Amazon sells it brand new for $350) this is worth a shot (in my opinion) if you wanted to have the XBOX 360.

If you weren’t a fan of the illuminated keyboard yesterday here is the Trust Vista Remote Keyboard.  This is on sale for $19.99 and if you use Google checkout you once again can take $10 off the purchase price making this $9.99.  Here’s the product description:

Wireless keyboard with integrated 2 button trackball, scroll wheel and 16 special function keys; the ideal controller for Media Center PC’s Mini USB receiver included using advanced 2.4 GHz wireless technology for excellent interruption-free operation up to 10 meters (no need to buy a separate receiver) Enjoy the full Media Center experience: control movies, music, photo albums/slideshows, presentations, games or browse the internet from any comfortable location Perfect for chatting, writing E-mail messages and letters, entering passwords or any other alphanumeric input Also suitable to control live or recorded TV programs, radio stations, etc. (depends on the configuration of your Media Center PC and internet connection) Also works with the XBOX.

And because this item looks so cool (and the price is so good compared to other prices online) here is the WowWee Alive Elvis – Singing Elvis w/ Microphone for $59.99.  This is $200+ everywhere else I have seen it.  This is a must have for Elvis fans, and definitely a conversation item to have in the house.  I’m digging the sideburns, I may have to try growing some like that!

Freebie of the Day: Here you can get a free Christmas tree ornament from Holidays at Home.  It’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas!!!

Get an Illuminated Keyboard For $18.99, or $8.99 After Rebate, or Free with Google Checkout

June 25th, 2008 by admin

The Trust Illuminated Keyboard has been marked down to $18.99 with free shipping.  This is a pretty good deal on a unique item.  To make this deal even hotter there is a $10 rebate on this item (valid for purchases made before 6/30).    If you happen to want to use Google Checkout you can take $10 off an order.  In the end you can get this keyboard for free and make a $1.01 profit!

You can get an engraved pet tag here for $2.95 (with free shipping).  These look pretty nice, and it’s usually a good idea to have an engraved tag on your cat or dog in case they get lost.  Paying $3 for the tag will be cheaper then offering a $100 reward for your lost pet (if that situation ever happens).

Valid until 6/29, here is a coupon for Express which will take $15 off a $30 purchase, or $30 off of a $75 purchase.

Freebie of the Day: Thanks to Pattikay who posted this freebie for a free sample package of Seattle’s Best Coffee.  You get to choose from a few different flavors.  On UsedShoe.com free cups of coffee are possible!  :)~

A Huge List of Grocery Coupons Online for You

June 24th, 2008 by admin

Everybody does grocery shopping (unless you’re still a hunter/gatherer living in the stone age) and a lot of grocery shoppers like using coupons to help defray the cost of food.  UsedShoe member Dealkid posted this list of grocery coupons within the Grocery Coupon board.  I didn’t count how many links to coupons there are, but I’d give a rough guess of 200+.  This is a great resource to save some nice dough on your next shopping trip.  Thanks for the post Dealkid!!!

The 7.2MP Fuji Finepix camera is on sale currently for $99.99.  You need to search for item #: 8465831.  This is a nice quality camera for us regular camera users.  You won’t find any pro’s using this, but my friend has it and he raves about it (he bought it a few months ago for $140).  His highlights of the camera are the quality of pictures it takes, and how it is pretty thin so it slides nicely into his pocket.  I’ve never used the camera myself so I don’t have any firsthand knowledge of it, so if it’s not thin enough for you, you can yell at my friend.

The new Restaurant.com coupon code is out.  It is MEALS and it is valid for 60% off and is good until July 1st.  You also get a free $10 certificate with every order.

Freebie of the Day: You can grab Bassmaster magazine for free here.  This is a magazine that anyone who enjoys fishing will enjoy.  Thanks to Pattikay for posting this freebie!

Get 25% Off an Ebay Purchase Now

June 23rd, 2008 by admin

live.jpg

There is a promotion going on right now where you can get 25% cash back on up to 3 buy-it-now purchases from Ebay.  Here’s what you do…  go to Live.com and search for an item (searching for Blu Ray is working right now).  You’ll get the results like in the picture above.  Click on the link where it says “You may get 25% off with Paypal if eligible”.  This will bring you to Ebay.  Now you will have 60 minutes to find ANY auction on Ebay that has the “buy it now” feature.  Purchase that auction using Buy It Now and you will get 25% cash back off the price.  The cash back can take up to 60 days (just so you’re forewarned) but it is coming from Microsoft so it is guaranteed.  After you pay via Paypal you’ll get a message in your Ebay inbox in a little while.  It’ll ask you to create a Microsoft Live account to claim your cash back.  Creating the account takes 3 minutes (literally).  As an example, my friend just purchased a brand new Playstation 3.  The buy-it-now price was $299 with free shipping.  He’ll get $75 cash back making a PS3 cost $225 for him (which is cheaper then anywhere you will ever find it nowadays!).  If the term “blu ray” doesn’t return the 25% off icon like in the above picture try searching different words or phrases until you get the 25% cashback result.

If you do end up getting a PS3 you could pick up your first Blu Ray DVD (since it also plays Blu Ray DVDs) here where The Fifth Element is on sale for $11.95

College football is right around the corner so grab some NCAA Polo Embroidered shirts for $8.40 and up on sale now.  There’s a big selection of teams so hopefully everyone can get their favorite team’s shirt.  I’m sure once college football starts these shirts will never be on sale until the season ends.

Freebie of the Day:  You can grab a Tony the Tiger wrist band for free here.  You’ll need to super secret code which is: M1ghty T1g3rs.  Enjoy the wrist band!

UPDATE:

My friend received his Cash Back info in his Ebay inbox less then 10 minutes after his purchase:

The Samsung CLP-300 Color Laser Printer runs for $250.   Search online all you want, you won’t find a significantly cheaper price (you may find $245 if you’re lucky).  So how would you like to get it (& CA Internet suite software) for $60?  It is possible but only today and tomorrow (unless it runs out before then).  This deal involves an instant coupon and a few rebates but in the end you get a $250 printer + $70 in software for $60 (I dare you to try to come anywhere  near that price on your own).  Read how to do this deal here… Here are the specs of the printer:

Here’s a coupon for a free Thomas the Train toy.  The coupon is for Toys R Us and it must be redeemed at a phsycial store location (coupon toy value is up to $12.99).

The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide & a Free Halo Headset… maybe…

June 19th, 2008 by admin

The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide: Five Complete Novels and One Story (Deluxe Edition) is currently on sale for $15.66.  I have not read these books but I have read the product reviews which based on 65 reviews give this 5 out of 5 stars.  This book is a whopper at 832 pages so for less then $16 you should be entertained for quite some time reading this entire thing.  I don’t have a ton of spare time on my hands so this may keep me entertained for a year!  If you have read this book and want to give your own review of it feel free to post a comment and let us know what you thought of it!

The Plantronics Audio 350 Halo 2 Noise Cancelling Stereo Headset is marked down from $34.95 to $10.  Not cheap enough?  Pay using Google Checkout and take $10 off making this item… F-R-E-E!  Shipping is free so if you’re a Halo player jump on it now before they get Sold O-U-T!!!

Freebie of the Day: Grab a free bottle of Country Bob’s sauce here.  Thanks to SCC76 for finding this deal!

Deadwood the Complete Series on Sale & Shakespeare’s 38 Volumes for $58

June 18th, 2008 by admin

The series Deadwood is quite an expensive series to purchase, but this sale will help lower the cost somewhat…  You can pick up Seasons 1-3 (which is the entire series) for $89.99 + free shipping.  The “list price” is $179.97.  I did a little research via Ebay to find out what people are paying for this series, and one season is selling for $40 on average (plus shipping) and the full 3 seasons are selling for $100 + shipping (but they are used) so picking up all 3 seasons for $89.99 with free shipping seems reasonable.  The reviews for the series are very good and a friend of mine recommended this series to me (but the price tag was $150 at the time so I said “no thanks” so now I may pull the trigger).

This is an interesting deal made for the literary people out there…  on sale is the World of Shakespeare: The Complete Plays and Sonets.  This is a 38 Volume set which is on super sale for $59.80 with free shipping. (list price is $299)  This received 5 out of 5 stars based on customer reviews, and paying less then $2/volume for Shakespeare should be illegal (thanks to Bumblebear for finding this great deal!).  Here’s the product description:

For anyone with an abiding love of the Bard and his to all of Shakepeares singular contributiOn to English literature, this complete library combines enduring beauty with the scholarship and authority demanded by modern readers. Easier to read and enjoy than massive, single-volume editions, these individual volumes feature authori tative text, essays on how the plays would have been performed in Shakespeare’s day, and notes valuable for general readers, teachers, students, and theater professionals. Here, in 38 truly stunning heirloom volumes, are William Shakespeare’s classic plays and sonnets in the only complete, individually-bound set of Shakespeare’s works currently available. The tragedies, comedies, histories, and poetry, so beloved by millions of readers and theater-goers, are reproduced here in luxurious, linen-bound hardcovers, enhanced by silver stamping on the covers and spines, and sewn-in, satin ribbon markers.

Today only you can download Coldplay’s X&Y Album for $1.99.  Normally the songs are $0.99 each so this is a pretty good deal (unless you download your music for free from a P2P site).

There’s a site called Watch-Movies.net which has most of the latest Hollywood movies online for viewing.  Examples are The Incredible Hulk, Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, Juno, and more.  This is a free site to use.  Some people will find this cool, others will think it is morally wrong… whatever floats your boat, I’m just passing along some knowledge.

Heroscape Marvel Edition Set - $8.73
Risk Transformers - $8.73

For fans of the show Rome you can grab the first two seasons for $59.99 with free shipping.  I’d assume this will sell out quickly as basically everywhere else online has them for $90 or more.  I haven’t watched this show at all, so if you have any thoughts on it feel free to post a comment and let us know if it is worth picking up the DVDs.

There are a lot of good coupons out there currently, instead of posting them all I’ll mention some of them, but you can find them all in the Coupon Board here.  Ann Taylor loft $25 off $50, Lowes $10 off $25, Sears $5 off $30, JCPenny 20% off on an order of $75 or more, JoAnn Fabrics 50% off an item, 25% off from Sketchers, and more.  If you are making purchases without using a coupon then STOP, you are throwing away money!  Check out the Coupon board in the Forums and make sure you are not missing out on saving yourself some dough! Women’s Jeans for $9.99 + XM Radio Promotion Still Alive

June 14th, 2008 by admin

For the women out there, JCPenny has the American Living Jeans for women for $9.99/pair.  I’m no women’s fashion expert by any stretch of the imagination so I’m not sure if these would be considered trendy or ugly, I’ll let you decide, but I do know that $9.99 for a pair of jeans is a pretty good price.   And if you don’t like these jeans, Lucky jeans are having their semi-annual 50% off sale.

I wrote an entry a while back about a promo for XM radio where you can get three months free and free activation and someone recently read the article and used the promo code and posted a comment which mentioned the promo code is still working (which is always nice when someone drops a comment to give information so the comment is appreciated!).  So if you’re considering picking up XM radio or just got it and are about to activate it, you may want to check out this post.

Freebie of the Day: Thanks to Pattikay for finding this freebie, it is a free diaper bag that comes with coupons and free gifts.  You can sign up to receive your free bag here.
