Dockers Sweaters for Men $5 and Less!!!

If you like buying winter clothes for cheap in the off season here’s your chance to grab some Dockers Sweaters for $5 and less!  I was able to grab 9 of them for $36 shipped (usually one nice sweater costs $36 by itself).  If you have a Kohl’s card you can use these promo codes to lessen the price and get free shipping:
free shipping: MVC1221

15% off: SAVE15MVC

If you don’t have a Kohl’s card you can use a code for 10% off:

10% off code: NEW9143

I would expect these to sell out quickly so grab them while they are still available!

If you’re in the market for a MicroSD Card here’s one for $10 with free shipping. If you use Google Checkout to pay for it they’ll knock $10 off the price making it F-R-E-E!

This is also a great gift idea (or it can be a gift for yourself, I purchased this game and love it).  The ESPN Scene It! DVD game is $4.99.   This game a year ago was $25 and I think they are clearing out their inventory so once it’s gone it’s gone.  Orders of $24 or more ship free or you can order it online and pick it up at the store (if it is available at your local store).

Freebie of the Day: Posted by SCC76 today’s freebie of the day is a Gillette Body Wash.   Fill out your basic 411 and off you go, you’ll get it in the mail in 6 to 8 weeks.  The GM Diet update – I weigh the same as I did the day before, so my loss still stands at 7lbs (over 4 days).

40gb Playstation 3 $399.99 + Free $100 Gift Card

This deal is smoking!!!  I’m not sure how long this deal will last but you can pick up the 40 gig PS3 for $399.99 and you’ll also get a $100 Walmart gift card for free (if you don’t want to use the gift card you could sell it on Ebay for around $95) which would bring your total cost closer to $300 which is a great price for this system.  First you want to head here and then you want to search for item #: 10039674 .  The PS3 also plays Blu Ray DVDs so you’re saving a couple hundred there if you had any intention of buying a Blu Ray Player.

The Name the Puppy contest has ended and the winning name is…. Sissy (everyone say hello Sissy).  Congrats goes out to the winner Craftycrafter!

Freebie of the Day: You can grab some free dog and cat food from Purina One here.  Fill out some information about your pet and that’s all there is to it.  Purina occassionally has freebies for pet food and this is a brand spanking new one so jump on it before they fill their quota of free pet food…   Day 3 of the GM diet has been completed.  I lost 3lbs on day 3 which brings my three day total up to 7lbs lost.  You can read about my daily details of the diet here (you must be signed into UsedShoe forums).

A Buffet of Things Going on: HD DVDs, Name the Puppy, Paypal Discounts, Walgreens Coupon, & of course my diet!

Reminder: The “Name the Puppy” Contest ends tomorrow.  If you have not submitted a name for the puppy you should do so for a chance to win a back to school prize pack.  You can find out more info here about this contest…

I know that Blu Ray won the DVD format war, but for those who are still buying HD DVDs (and I admit if I see a good one I still pick it up) there is a decent selection here of HD DVDs starting at $11.95.  To name a few of the $11.95 ones… Mission Impossible, Mission Impossible 2, Aeon Flux, Old School, Anchorman, Top Gun, Sleepy Hollow, Tomb Raider, Failure to Launch, Four Brothers and more.

If you use Paypal there are special offers for some retailers where you can get a discount if you pay with Paypal.  Read more about this here.

Best Buy is going to run a promotion starting 6/13 where if you buy a select DVD for $6.99 you’ll get a free movie ticket to The Incredible Hulk.  Seeing how movie tickets are $10 nowadays (because the actors “need” to get paid $20 million per movie so we get stuck having to pay for it (but police are paid $45k/year when they risk their lives every day)… but that’s another topic altogether) this is like getting a discounted movie ticket and a free DVD.  You can see the list of DVDs that this offer is good with here.  I’m not sure if the movie ticket is going to be packaged with the DVD or if you get it seperately or however that works, if you know or find out feel free to share and let us know.  (if you’re not sure which DVD to get I’d recommend Smokin’ Aces)

If you are a grocery coupon user then you should check out (if you haven’t already) the Grocery Coupon Forum Board.  Some people on the board save over $100/month using coupons found and posted within the board which can add up to some decent extra money in your pocket.

Walgreens has a $10 off a $30 purchase coupon valid only tomorrow 5/30.  You can find the coupon here (it excludes liquor, tobacco, and gift cards).

Freebie of the Day: You can get Antiques Magazine for free here.  Fill out the basic 411 and answer a few questions (it’ll take 2 minutes of your time) and you get a free subscription.  And if anyone is wondering, I lost another 2 pounds yesterday on the GM diet.  That brings my total to a 4 pound loss in 2 days.  5 more days to go until the cycle of the diet is complete.  I cannot wait for Day 6 when I can eat as much meat as I want!!!

The “Wii for Me” Giveaway

I know, I know, this is very very early to be talking about Black Friday but I figured I’d throw it out there now…  I was reading an article about how websites post the Black Friday flyers before the retailers officially release them.  In this article, it mentioned how one site “rewarded” the people who submitted these flyers to the site with a “prize” such as a t-shirt.  WOW.  Talk about being cheap.   I couldn’t stop laughing when I read the article because of the sillyness of it.  Is this their inner monologue?

“Gee thanks for submitting this awesome Black Friday flyer so I can be the first site to publish it online, let me go all out and give you this great t-shirt which has my website’s logo on it because I know you’re dying for one”.

After reading the article I decided to create the “Wii for Me” giveaway.  I think that in 2008 Black Friday is going to be awesome.  I say this because I see articles everyday about how the economy is struggling.  I see articles about how the major retailers are struggling.  I think that on this Black Friday the sales will be insane because the retailers will be fighting for the consumers to come to their stores.  And I’d like to take part in the insanity of this Black Friday and publish 1 or 2 or 3 or more of the Black Friday flyers.  I’m willing to give away a Wii, a Wii Fit, and 25 Wii games to anyone who submits to UsedShoe.com a Black Friday flyer for a major retailer before any other website publishes that flyer.   So for the people who are able to get their hands on the flyers, instead of getting a free t-shirt maybe you’d be interested in receiving something a little bit more substantial.  If anyone is interested in contacting me about this offer you can do so here.  I’ll bring this up again as we get closer to Black Friday.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Deluxe Hardcover Edition on Sale…

If you’re a Harry Potter fan and have not yet picked up the 7th and final book you can grab Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Hardcover Deluxe Edition) for $16.25 (list price is $65).  The deluxe edition is different from the regular edition (details below):

The Deluxe Edition includes an exclusive insert featuring near-scale reproductions of Mary GrandPré’s interior art, as well as never-before-seen full-color frontispiece art on special paper. The custom-designed slipcase is foil-stamped and contains a full-cloth case book that has been blind-stamped on front and back cover with foil stamping on the spine. The book includes full-color endpapers featuring the jacket art from the trade edition and a wraparound jacket featuring art created especially for this edition by Mary GrandPré.

With summer here and gas prices insane, if you have small kids you may want to offer them some entertainment at home instead of driving them around town.  You can pick up a Backyard Inflatable Water Slide for $129.99.  This can also double as a little swimming pool for them to hang out in.  This is a ‘deal of the day’ so by tomorrow this deal will be gone.  It says the retail price is $399.99.  Not sure if I’m believing that, but I think anything below $199 is a good deal on this (my guess for retail price is around $250-275).

Freebie of the Day:  Thanks goes out to Pattikay who found this freebie, a free subscription to Elle magazine.  And for those who are curious, after Day 1 of the General Motors diet I lost 2 pounds.  I’m not a big believer in daily weight fluctuations so we’ll see what the weigh in says tomorrow morning.

Logitech diNovo Edge Keyboard 65% Off

The Logitech diNovo Edge keyboard is a high end keyboard (by high end I mean it costs $200 clams!!!).  I think $200 is a lot for a keyboard (which I normally buy on sale for $5) but in reading the customer reviews it seems like customers were satisfied paying this price for the keyboard (customer reviews were on average 4.5 out of 5 stars).  I still think $200 is too much so let’s knock that down.  First off, there is an instant $80 rebate which brings the price down from $199.99 to $119.99 (link Here).  That still seems like a lot, but throw in a $50 rebate and your final price is $69.99 which seems a little more affordable to me.  Here are the highlights of the product from what I’ve read – the keyboard is wireless, there is touch screen scrolling (via the circle pad on the bottom right of the keyboard), and the buttons are supposed to be extremely user friendly when typing.  The stand is used to charge the keyboard (it doesn’t stay in the stand when you’re using it) and the charge is said to last up to a month or two.  If anyone has any experience with this keyboard feel free to post a comment and let us know what you think of it.

You can pick up a Dickies insulated camouflage hooded jacket for $21.99 (compared to the regular price of $79.99).  Since it’s becoming summer time this would have to be one of those ‘purchase and put away’ until the winter time, but at this price it may be a good plan.

The Dora the Explorer and the Thomas and Friends DVD bingo games are marked down to $6 each from a regular price of $19.99.  They both qualify for free shipping on an order of $25 or more (unless you have Amazon Prime in which case you know they’ll be shipping for free).  The customer reviews for them are positive so at this price it may be worth a shot.

Freebie of the Day: Today’s freebie is the General Motors weight loss diet plan.  This diet is 7 days long and you are supposed to lose between 10 to 17 pounds.  There were 5 people I know who recently attempted this diet.  3 of the people dropped out after a few days but 2 people made it to the end.  One person lost around 7 pounds and the other person lost 15 pounds.  The diet is very heavy on fruits and vegetables and very limited on carbs.  I myself have decided to attempt this diet to try to lose 10 pounds for the summertime.  Today is my first day and I have my fruits lined up.  You can track my progress in the Forums Lounge here, if you are not a member of the Forums you will need to create a login in order to access the Lounge area.  My initial weigh in was 232 pounds and I’d like to get to 220.  I’ll keep track daily of how the diet goes for me in that thread.

Freebie of the Day: You can sign up here to  a free sample of Chef Ron’s blended spice of the month each month.  Thanks goes out to Pattikay who posted this deal.

Laptop Cooler for dirt Cheap!

If you have a laptop and don’t have a laptop cooler you may want to think about picking one up to keep the laptop from overheating. There is the Antec Cooler (which I personally have and it works very well) for $28.05… but until May 27th there is a $20 rebate for it which drops the price to $8.05!!! Combine that with free shipping and it’s a steal! The way it works is you plug it into your USB port and away you go…

There have been many new items added to the Amazon Grocery discount list which I wrote about earlier this month.  This is the offer where you select $25 of groceries and $10 will be taken off by using code: MAYGRCCL .  There are currently 424 items for sale with this promotion so there should be something for everyone.

Freebie of the Day: The freebie today is a free tape measure, thanks goes out to Pattikay who found this deal. This looks like the kind of tape measure a seamstress would use and not a construction worker (just as a FYI).

The new Restaurant.com code is DEAL which is valid for 60% off (code is good until 5/31).  If you’re unfamiliar with the site you can purchase a $25 gift certificates to a restaurant for $10.  Using the code that purchase price will drop to $4.  There is a thread in the Forums which lists the new code for Restaurant.com every time one becomes available so if you buy the certificates a lot you may want to bookmark the thread.

Freebie of the Day:  Thanks to SCC76 for finding this freebie, you can sign up here for a free Vegas de Santiago cigar.  This freebie is for people who are of legal age to smoke only please!!!

How to Get Things Almost Free at Walgreens!

This Friday only you can save $5 on a $20 purchase at Walgreen’s using this coupon.  If you do not stack coupons and take advantage to drastically reduce your cost you should check out here and here.  The first link is a little tutorial on how to take advantage of using Walgreens coupons and the 2nd link is some pictures of receipts from one of our UsedShoe.com Forum members Hirambab that shows how if done correctly you can save some serious cash (as an example, one receipt shows items costing $106+ and he had to paid $1.41 (yes, one dollar and forty one cents!!!) because of stacking coupons and offers.  Doing it right can save you hundreds upon hundreds of dollars.

For those Gatorade fans out there, you can purchase 80 gallons worth of Gatorade powder packets for $48.26.  If you attempted to buy 80 gallons worth of premade Gatorade at the supermarket I would take a wild guess it would cost you around $300.  The nice thing about this deal is that the powder comes in 32 packets so you could split this deal among family/friends if you want to.

Sears is having a Buy 1 Get 1 Free sale on Shoes and Athletic Apparel, so if you need a new pair of kicks or some summer shorts for basketball then you may want to check it out.  And for the Star Wars fans out there you can get a light saber keychain for $1.99 (free shipping) (also makes a nice stocking stuffer for those who purchase Christmas presents throughout the year).

Congrats go out to SCC76 who won this past week’s Weekly Giveaway.  Nobody correctly guessed the actor I was thinking of (who was Ryan Reynolds) so SCC76 was the winner selected at random.  This week’s giveaway is easy, simply tell us what the best deal you ever got was to be entered (entries can be made up through Sunday).

Freebie of the Day: Today’s freebie is a free can of Mighty Dog dog food.  Look near the top right of the page and you’ll see where it says “Get your free can”.  Thanks to Mikimadness for posting this freebie!

Pixar Animated Movies on DVD 50% off or more and Guitar Hero III on Sale…

If you’re a fan of Disney’s Pixar movies you can pick some up for 50% or more, but I have a feeling this inventory won’t last so jump on it before they sell out (prices start at $12.99 and free shipping on orders of $25 or more).  If you have not seen Finding Nemo, Monster’s Inc, or The Incredibles I would highly recommend them all.  They are good for all ages and the animation is amazing.

The Entertainment Book has been reduced to $9.99 per book.  If you’re not familiar with this book, it is a book filled with coupons for local places around you (you select what county you live in).  Using just one coupon for a buy 1 get 1 free dinner at a local restaurant will save you the $9.99 you paid for the book.  I’m taking a wild guess and saying the book has around 200-300 coupons (at least the book I got for my county) and the savings you’ll get from coupons you use should easily be in the hundreds.

Today only you can get Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Bundle for Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, and PS2 for $59.99 (PS2 version is $49.99).  This is a $30 discount to the regular price which you normally don’t see for the mega popular items so I would not expect to see a sale on this item for quite some time after today.  I personally have not tried this out but in talking to people who have they have raved about it as being awesome.

Freebie of the Day: Today’s pick is an “It’s a Jungle Out There” coffee mug (thanks to MikiMadness for posting this deal).  The freebie offers states: “This offer is extended to product designers, product development, and manufacturing personnel in the US, Canada and Mexico.”  In case you are not in one of those professions here’s a freebie for all, a rawhide dreamcatcher keychain.  Thanks to Vhjetski81 for posting this freebie.  As a note, this freebie was posted back in January of this year and it is still alive, so if you check out the Freebies section of the Forums don’t be afraid to look back through the months to find freebies.

Camping Season is Here…

Camping season is here and if you’re in need of a tent here is a cozy 2 to 3 person tent. The tent measures 7×7 and is for those of us who are amateur campers.  It is $29.97 with free shipping (which is 40% off the list price) and I believe camping season begins for a lot of places after this weekend (at least around me).  Now we’ll just need to find a good deal on a fishing pole and some chairs to put around the campfire (so if you come across any good deals feel free to share).
The Cavalry 1 Terabyte External Hard Drive has hit a new low, price low that is, according to my mental price tracking.  You can pick it up today for $169.99 with free shipping (that price is after a $30 rebate), so if you store lots of huge files likes ripped movies or have every MP3 under the sun saved to your hard drive then this may help you out with your storage issues.  I’m still working on filling up my 500 gig external HD so I’m not partaking in this deal, but in case you have more files then me…

Here’s a coupon for $5 off footware priced at $19.99 or more at KMart (thanks MikiMadness).  It is valid until June 30th and if you find a pair of kicks for $20 that you like then this will give you a nice 25% discount on them.

Freebie of the Day: Today’s freebie (found by SCC76) is a Kettle One Cocktail Guide DVD.  This is good for those of us who don’t know how to make that many mixed drinks (like yours truly), so maybe I will learn a thing or two!

Recap of Some Oldies but Goodies

Here are two oldies but goodies that I had written about last year but will mention them again this year since they are still going strong. You can get a free DVD, CD, or Video Game for signing up for a free account with BarterBee (you select what you want and there is a HUGE variety so everyone will find something they like). All this requires is giving your name/mailing address/email/etc… (no credit card information is ever needed). It takes 2 minutes of your time and you’ll get a nice freebie out of it. Barterbee is a site where people can trade their DVDs, CDs, Games with each other so after getting your freebie and using it you could trade it with another member and get something else out of it. Here’s the forum thread where people have discussed this freebie and you could see what some of them have gotten.

If you use Google or Yahoo to search for things online then you may want to consider making the switch to Blingo. Blingo is a search engine (powered by Yahoo) so you get the same quality search, but the difference is that Blingo awards you prizes for using them to search. The prizes range from small things like a $5 Amazon.com gift card all the way up to a new car. I have gotten a free movie ticket from them. Also, if you have any friends and you refer them to Blingo then if they win a prize you will win the same prize for referring them so everyone is happy!

Blingo

Freebie of the Day: Choose from a series of “Best of” CDs featuring original recordings by these famous artists: Willie Nelson, Ray Charles, Teddy Pendergrass, Marvin Gaye, Juice Newton, Robert Goulet, Glenn Miller, and Aaron Neville. Simply visit Here and enter in one of the UPC codes found Here to claim a free CD.  This is a SCC76 found freebie.  I chose Marvin Gaye :)    Enjoy!

You can pick up Tom Clancy’s Chronicles (Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six 3) for $10 and there is a $10 rebate on it, so after rebate we’re talking our favorite word F-R-E-E. Here’s the rebate. These games are for the computer (no Playstation or XBox) before anyone asks. I’ve played Splinter Cell once before and it is a quality game so enjoy!

This offer was around once before and it is back so if you weren’t able to get in on it the first time here is your 2nd chance. Windows Live One Care is $30 and like the deal above there is a rebate that will allow it to be F-R-E-E! If you’re not familiar with this program here is a brief description:
