Free Faxing Online and Walmart Catches My Criticism

I came across a website that will send out free faxes for you (which is very helpful at least for me because it is always a hassle when I need to fax something), all you simply do is attach the file you want to send and fill out the appropriate info and there you go. This magic faxing site can be found Here…   So I went to Walmart today to get some regular every day things and as I was wandering through the store I was price comparing things to the deals I have seen online recently. Let me tell you that Walmart for all their “we have everyday low prices” does not even compare to Amazon.com for the items I was looking at. Amazon has the Scene It! DVD games for anywhere from $5 to $25. Guess what Walmart’s price was…?

Walmart’s price range was $28 to $35. Nice prices Mr. Price Leader. I also happened to notice that a 13″ Care Bear with DVD at Walmart was priced at $13.30, at Amazon it is less then $4 (I only know this because I posted it in the Forum’s Hot Deals section last night). Same deal with the DVDs, Amazon has a Buy 1 Get 1 Free sale that I’ve written about already (the average price per movie comes out to between $10-14) while Walmart wants me to pay $25-30 per HD DVD. Even with regular DVDs they are considerably more expensive at Walmart. I used to get excited when I would see the $5 DVD bin there, but Amazon has a promotion going on where select DVDs are $5.50 or less, and if you buy 3 you get the 4th one free. For laughs I walked over to their TV display section. I could not find one TV there that was cheaper then the same model that I could locate only. So I walked out of Walmart with only the bare essentials that I needed and came home and wrapped up my Christmas shopping online. For Christmas this year, I only purchased ONE ITEM from other then online, and it was a gift certificate to a local restaurant!

In case you didn’t catch it in the Forums, the new Restaurant.com code is HOLIDAY which is good for a 60% discount and you also get a free $20 Dale and Thomas gift card. I also put up a few new coupons in the coupon message board, a few for Circuit City, a Bed Bath and Beyond one, a Yankee Candle one, among others.

If you’re a coffee person you should check out this deal from Gevalia. And for those cooks out there you will enjoy this deal which is a 19 piece Stainless steel set of Farberware products for $29.99 (after rebate). This is a pretty ridiculous deal as each item comes out to less then $2!

ENJOY!!!

for clarification, the free faxing from XDrive requires you to have an XDrive account (but signing up for this account is free)

How long do you think it will take before a big concern like Walmart pays you a ton of money to stay away and stop intimidating them with your value oriented shopping?

I would think after this article that the check would already be in the mail, but don’t worry, I’ll post pictures from my new summer house in the Bahamas :)

Bahamas worked for Howard Hughes, but be careful not to grow the long finger nails he had!
