HD DVD movies normally cost $20-35 per pop making this a sweet deal…

I’ve seen HD DVD players run from $200 (when it was on super sale) all the way to $1,000+.  If you have the XBOX 360 you can get Microsoft’s HD DVD add on component for less then $200, and to sweeten the deal you can redeem this offer to get 5 HD movies for free!!!

Here is the link that will get you to the spot to print out the form to redeem for the 5 free movies.  They offer a list of 15 predetermined movies, but I definitely think that at least 5 of these are quality movies (Blazing Saddles is one of my favorites and I’m sure Lara Croft will look stunning in HD).  The price of the XBOX HD DVD player right now is $179.99 at Best Buy.  There are also 10% off coupons floating around the internet for Best Buy which would bring the price down to around $152.  Now figuring that the HD DVDs would cost at least $20 each (making them a $100 value) that means you’re getting a HD DVD player for $52 (if you choose to look at it like I am).  No matter how you look at it this is a pretty hot deal considering the bang for the buck.  For those of us who don’t have an XBOX 360… oh well, might have to see if I can get a cheap one off Ebay.
