Do you like saving 90% off? I sure know I do!

Staples has a sticky situation on their hands with their latest promotion gone awry.  Staples offered $5 off of a purchase of $25 or more of their Post-It products.  Let’s take a look at their promo ad…

So what happened when you entered in their coupon code “63463″?  It took $5 off of every Post-It item you purchased!  And what did I do?  Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum, I purchased more Post-Its then the next 5 generations of my family will need.

Ok, not really, but I did put in 4 orders because my girlfriend is a Post-It fiend.  I ordered $52 worth of Post-Its (and for Staples.com if you spend over $50 you get free shipping which sweetened the deal).  After applying the coupon it removed $47 off of my order, for a total of 90% savings!!!  Here’s a look at one of my orders:

Now it’s just a matter of waiting 24 hours to see if this mistake will ship or get cancelled.  In my experience Staples usually ships out items very promptly and rarely catches price mistakes in time to cancel your order.

Another deal I managed to grab today was an inflatable air mattress from Sears.com for $10 bucks!  This is a steal for a 10 spot and with free in-store pickup it got me out of the house too.  This’ll be great for those nights when I get kicked out of bed…
