Going for the Gold… A 42′ Samsung Plasma TV for FREE ($1,499 Price Tag)
I posted a month or two ago about an opportunity to score a free laptop (actually, you could have made $300 in the end because of rebates). There is a new freebie offer I am going to try to cash in on. I have completed phase one tonight. It took me 90 minutes. I have two more phases to go before I can score a FREE 42′ Samsung Plasma TV. I’m going to tell you about it so you can attempt this too if you’re interested…
Ok, so there are 3 phases you need to complete. Phase 1 is you need to complete 12 “trial offers”. I did this tonight. You will spend about $55 which you can not recoup (goes towards shipping/handling on “free” products). I am OK with spending this because in the end I’m getting a TV that retails for $1,499 on Best Buy’s website (see here ). During the course of the next week or two these trial offer sites will notify the Promotion site that I’ve completed their trial offer. After 12 notifications I am golden. Phase 1 leads into Phase 2… cancelling these trial offers. Basically all of these trial offers renew after either a week, two weeks or a month at which time they are going to hit up your credit card if you don’t cancel them. So what I did was create a list in an Excel spreadsheet of all the offers I did. During each offer I wrote down how much time I have to cancel before it autorenews and the contact number that I call to cancel. I’ll start cancelling this weekend. When I cancel I will make sure to get a cancellation confirmation number, the name and extension of the person I speak with, and I’ll ask for a confirmation email that I’ve cancelled. I expect this process to take me another 90 minutes. Phase 3 is I need to refer one person to complete this offer (and in turn that person will need to find a person to complete the offer in order for them to get the TV and so on and so forth). So even though my 12 trial offers will be a success, they will not ship my TV to me until the person I referred has completed their 12 trial offers. You have 60 days from the day you sign up to complete the 12 offers and have the person you refer complete the offers.
At first I was skeptical about this deal until I did A LOT of research on the web. I found in message boards, blogs, and articles people who did this deal (from the exact site I am using) and it worked successfully for them. After finding all these confirmed instances of success I decided it was definitely worth a shot. If I can spend a total of 3 hours and walk away with a $1,500 TV then I’ll be a happy camper. For those who ask “how does the site afford sending you a $1,500 tv” the answer is they have deals with all these ‘trial offer’ places. For each trial offer I completed, the website (I should tell you the website name… it is PlasmaTV4Free.com) earns a commission from the ‘trial website’. So after my 12 offers and the 12 offers of that the person I refer completes, PlasmaTV4Free.com must receive enough money to cover the cost of the TV and still have profit left over for themselves.
Getting started: go to the site and sign up (I actually need to refer someone, so maybe if a couple people are interested we could get a list and the 1st person will refer the 2nd person, the 2nd person will refer the 3rd person and so on and so forth, so if you’re interested let me know via the comment section). When you sign up there will be these long lists asking if you want to receive information about different sites. This is not the ‘trial offers’ I referred to. You can select NO to all of these. There are maybe 10 to 15 different pages of these that you have to go through before you are allowed to start selecting the free trials. When you select and complete the free trials it works in 3 stages. You first select and complete 2 offers from a list of their “silver” package. Then 2 offers from the “gold package” and finally 8 offers from the “platinum package” (I think these were the appropriate package names… it is not relevant). Some offers appear in multiple packages, you can do an offer once, they will not count it twice. Also, if you’ve done any of these trial offers in the past 6 months you cannot do them (i.e. one offer is for a free subscription to Netflix. I’ve done this not even a month ago via the deal I posted on UsedShoe so I could not do the Netflix trial offer for them). In my readings on blogs, message boards, etc… people said that PlasmaTV4Free.com is very specific in this stipulation. Don’t ruin your chances by ignoring this rule. Remember when you complete each offer to write down the contact number (which can usually be found under each offer’s “terms and conditions” link). I would advise reading the Terms and Conditions of each offer so you can see how soon you need to cancel in order to avoid getting hit with any charges. As an example: one offer I signed up for was for Ivory White Teeth (I don’t need the product but I needed to complete enough offers so…), I have to pay $7 for them to ship their ‘free’ sample to me. This $7 is lost, I cannot recoup it. It is part of the $50 I had to spend which I mentioned above. Their specific stipulation is if I do not cancel within a week they will charge me $90. So you can bet your butt I’ll be cancelling Saturday morning. From what I read, nobody had any issues cancelling the trial offers so I’m confident this should not be any trouble. Once you complete your offers there is a link on the bottom of PlasmaTV4Free.com that says “Check Gift Status”. Clicking this will show you which offers have notified PlasmaTV4Free.com that you’ve successfully completed them so you can view your progress. I read that it normally takes a week or two for your trial offer sites to notify them that you’ve completed the free trial successfully so don’t expect to see anything 1 minute after you complete the offer.
So there you have it. How to get a $1,500 TV for free. I will keep track of how things go for me in this thread, so if you want to follow along and watch the guinea pig (me) bookmark this page. So for those of you brave souls who attempt this, good luck. Enjoy the Free TV (or at least watching me try to get it)!

Good luck. My wife did the same program for a free ipod a couple of years ago when they were still expensive. The companies are legit, but one of the popular signup offers, PeoplePC, took 3 times longer than any other to report that you had “joined” to the organizer.
I did the same thing for a 360 platinum around Christmas, and got in in March. Best of luck, it can be done!
