Restaurant.com has a new discount code out, and the 60% off code is LABOR and it’s good until 8/31.  Here’s a little trick in case you ever run across restaurants that you want to buy a certificate to but it says that they are sold out…  The beginning of each month Restaurant.com will “reload” however many certificates the restaurant authorizes them to sell.  But as you noticed, the 60% off expires a day too soon to use it.  So… use the 60% off code and buy Gift Certificates (yes, it is allowed).  Then when the first day of the month comes you use those gift certificates to buy the restaurant certificates.  Presto, you got your 60% off on the places you wanted to go to.  If you have no idea what I’m saying but you are interested leave a comment and I’ll answer whatever part you don’t follow.

Update: I wrote a deal about Crest White Strips (you can read it here) and I said  I’d post a follow up and let you know how they work.  I’ve been using them for about 2 weeks… 5 times per week.  So far so good, I’ve noticed a change in my teeth color though they are not pearly white yet like they show on the box.  Hopefully we’ll get there.  On the box it says 84 strips come in the box, that is a little deceiving.  They give you 42 for your upper teeth and 42 for your lower teeth so really you only get 42 pairs.  In another few weeks I’ll post a final follow up to see the results of the box and if it is worth the money.

Scene It! ESPN Edition is on sale for $1.99!  I have the game, I bought it when it was $19.99 last year.  And I’ve written about it when it was on sale for $9.99 and when it was on sale for $4.99.  If you didn’t grab it either time then at $1.99 you can’t go wrong (unless you don’t have a DVD player).  You need a DVD player to play this game, and if you’re a sports fan then you’ll enjoy it.  It also makes a nice gift and no one will know you only spent $2 on it!  You can choose in-store pickup to pick it up for free if you don’t feel like paying for shipping.  I admit, I just placed an order for a few as these will make some nice/affordable Christmas presents.  I predict this will sell out before the day is out so take advantage of it while you can.  Enjoy!!!

I’m a fan of Amazon.com’s Prime Service.  I signed up for a year and I’ve used it maybe 50 times since I signed up so far so I’ve gotten my money’s worth.  Prime (if you’re not familiar) is Amazon.com’s two day shipping service.  You order something and you’ll have it in 2 days and the 2 day shipping is free (at least during the trial offer).  You can Sign Up Here to test it out for a month on the house.  What is also pretty awesome is that you can have things shipped not only to yourself but to other people with Prime.  I’ve spent $15-$20 dollars before to ship a birthday gift to a relative, but if you can find that gift on Amazon you can have them ship it for free using this trial.  Avoiding the post office definitely makes the top ten list of why I think Prime rocks. 

If the grocery stores are giving you the blues with their raised prices and/or smaller packaging here’s something to cheer you up, you can choose from over 4,000 items at Amazon’s Grocery store (see the list of items here) and you can use code: AUGMKDWN  when you checkout to take 40% off your order!  I haven’t gone through the list of items yet but I’m sure there will be some things I can stock up on at a reduced rate.  If you’re feeling really wild, you could sign up for the free Prime trial, then order groceries, use the code to get 40% off and have Prime ship it to you for free and they’ll be at your front door in 2 days.  Save money on groceries, save money on gas by not having to drive to the supermarket, save yourself some time by ordering online… it’s a win/win/win situation.

Grab Roswell Seasons 1-3 for $41.99 shipped (for all three seasons).  This is the complete series.  I watched this entire seasons a few years ago and I admit that I liked it.  This may be a one day offer.  About this series, nothing too intellectual about it, what you’ll see is what you’ll get.  Nothing as intricate as Prison Break or as action packed as 24 or as mysterious as Lost.  But if you want a simple series, that is fun, and easy on the mind then this is for you (it received 4.5 out of 5 stars on the user reviews).  Here’s the description:

Jason Behr gave the alien Max a quiet authority and Majendra Delfino took the sidekick role of Maria and gave it both intensity and fine comic timing. It was also a show in which you were never sure which adults you could trust–William Sadleir trod a fine line of ambiguity as the local sheriff and Julie Benz was silkily sinister as an FBI agent. Anyone who ever loved this show will want these DVDs–and many others may want to find out what the fuss was about.

 Prison Break season 3 got released today.  I am a big fan, I just finished watching season 2 and I can’t wait to watch season 3.  I checked out Ebay and it is selling for $35+.  Some retailers have it for $40+.  But I found it for $26.99 with free shipping!  I can imagine quite a few Ebay sellers have purchased it here and are selling it on Ebay.  Not very often does something sell cheaper brand new from a retailer then it does on Ebay, but in this instance Season 3 is cheaper.  If you’re not familiar with the show I’d say it is a mix between Lost and 24 (two of my favs).  Make sure you start with season 1 though or you’ll be lost (no pun intended).

This is a great deal, I myself just did it four times!  First you go HERE.  Go to the DVD Section and sort the DVDs by Price.  Add a DVD to your cart.  Then you need to go HERE and add the free movie pass to your cart.  Not all the $3.99 dvds are free shipping, so after you add it to your cart make sure that you are not being charged shipping.  If you do this correctly you’ll get your $3.99 dvd AND the movie pass for $3.99 shipped.  You can only do this once per order according to the rules, but you can place multiple orders.  The DVDs I ordered were Unleashed, X-Men 2, Along Came Polly, and Inside Man (in case you were curious).  The Free movie ticket is good for either Righteous Kill (has De Niro and Pacino in it) or Traitor (Don Cheadle).  If you wanted to watch the trailers for these movies you can do so here: Righteous Kill / Traitor.  Guitar Hero III is on sale for $54.99 for the Wii here.  This is after an instant discount plus a 10% off coupon (code is: 8MAJTZLA9L).  If you don’t have Wii, the PS2 version is also the same price, and the PS3 and XBOX 360 versions are $63.

Get $10 concert tickets to concerts at the Nikon at Jones Beach.  This sale starts Tuesday July 29th at 9:00 a.m. and ends Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.  There are some pretty good shows, including an 80’s Festival which I may try to get tix to!  Now if I can only remember to do this Tuesday morning!!!  Same offer is valid at the Nassau Coliseum on the same day at the same time.  And the PNC Bank Arts Center too.  My advice is to scout ahead and see which concert(s) you’d want to go to and jump on this right at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
